Starting from origin of the earth. Tectonic plates. How Cyprus was formed. Geological factors affecting the scenery, economics and history. Field trips will be arranged to illustrate and emphasise key elements of Cypriot geology. (Previous visits have included Petra Tou Romiou, Geroskipou, Kourion, Messinian fossil beds and Loutra tis Aphroditis).

Group members have been asked for their wishes and expectations from the course and are expected to participate in discussions and development of the group’s activities.
